Life Starts to Fall Out of Control

One minute everything is sunshine and rainbows, in the very next moment, your world starts to fill out of control. Your mind starts racing, thinking, oh my goodness, what have I done to cause this big mess. For me, thats is when I need to remind myself to step back breathe, open my bible and head to my wall where I have all my bible notes written for encouragement and know that God is the one in control if you follow Jesus. It takes a moment for it to settle in but when it does, I feel a peace in my soul and that my dear friends is the Holy Spirt working inside of me. I love going to one of my favorite scriptures found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice Always, Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ESV. I have personally learned over time that I must submit to God and leave all my worries at his feet and let him take full control. That for me means that, yes I pray to God for the situation at hand and confess all that is in my heart to God and let him know that I can’t control this situation only He can, and I give up all control to God and remind myself through the day when thoughts pop up, I have given it all to God.

Learning to wait on God

A bible verse that comes to mind is from the ESV bible Psalm 32:10-11. “Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trust in the Lord. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.” I have been reflecting on this verse because I am in a season of wanting as I am sure someone else is too. Times can be hard when your mind wants to start thinking of all the downfalls in life and why is this happing to me? This is where, I stop myself and start reflecting on passages of the bible that shows God has a plan for all of us. It is a hard moment for me, but I know I if I put 100% of my trust in God he will guide me toward the place I need to be. The truly hard part for me is knowing that it is God’s will for my life and not my will. Sometimes more often then not, I do struggle with following what God wants me to do, because I second guess myself a lot. I am trying to work on it and I will continue to read the bible and keep praying. Great message from Jesus:

One of the greatest messages I think we received from Jesus is to love one another. At times it can be very difficult to follow this rule. I know I struggle with this one a lot. For the most part, I get along with a lot of different types of people. However, there are times when a few cross my path and don’t set well with me at all. In the back of my mind, I remember that I must be a example of Christ and show grace to my fellow person and love them too. Even, when they try to ruin my career with false lies. Yes, I do fall in the trap of wanting to talk about the situation to everyone and bad mouth the person who is causing harm, but I know that is not what Christ would do, Christ would show that person love. I also have to remember that it is not my place to replace evil with evil. There is a part in the bible where it states in Romans 12:19-21 “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. To the contrary, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” I am truly still working on this one myself, don't feel alone if you think you are the only one going through this. I am here too.
